Product Overview
Clindamycin Phosphate (Pharma Grade) is a lincosamide antibiotic phosphate ester and a semi-synthetic derivative of lincomycin. It has superior oral absorption and broader activity compared to its parent compound, effective against most Gram-positive bacteria and anaerobes in human medicine.
Clindamycin inhibits bacterial protein synthesis at the 50S ribosomal subunit. Clindamycin Phosphate is a water-soluble prodrug for parenteral (IV/IM) and topical formulations. It is rapidly hydrolyzed in vivo to active clindamycin. It achieves excellent tissue and abscess penetration.
