Product Overview
Ampicillin Trihydrate is a broad-spectrum, semi-synthetic penicillin antibiotic. It was the first aminopenicillin developed and remains widely used for treating various bacterial infections.
Ampicillin inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis during active replication, causing bactericidal activity against susceptible organisms. It has a broader spectrum than penicillin G, covering many Gram-negative bacteria.
